About M2
At M2, we believe that leadership is about creating the conditions for those around you to thrive. It is through this value-centered, people-first lens that we will create fully human workplaces where people thrive while doing great things together.
Meghan Mahoney, SHE/HER/HERS
Hi, my name is Meghan.
I believe that we all want to live with purpose, conviction, and bravery, and create workplaces where people truly thrive. But I also know that human-ness is messiness and learning is inherently uncomfortable because it requires genuine reflection and change. My goal as a coach and consultant is to help individuals and teams step into these “messy” and “uncomfortable” places leaders must go for the sake of what’s on the other side.
I bring to my work 15+ years of experience in leadership development, teaching, facilitation, and growing some pretty incredible, high-performing teams. I have worked within and supported organizations in the tech sector, social enterprises, higher education, and the sports industry. Prior to starting M2 I worked in multiple rapidly growing technology companies, leading internal learning and development and culture efforts. I have a particular passion for working with founding teams, organizations facing rapid scale, and the often forgotten “leaders in the middle.”
I came to this work through my experience as a high-performance athlete and impact-driven professional, and my personal journey of exploring what is possible with the support of master coaches and facilitators. Through this process, I have learned to lean into my strengths of asking powerful questions, listening with intent, and supporting leaders, individuals, and teams in generating their own solutions.
The formal stuff?
I have a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA with a focus in Social Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University. I am a Certified Professional Coactive Coach (CPCC) and received my training and certification through CTI, the Coactive Training Institute (formerly the Coaches Training Institute). I have taught in numerous leadership, management, and entrepreneurship programs at schools including at Harvard University, Northeastern University, and Granite State College. As a Watson Fellow in 2005, I was given funding to travel the globe studying the international development of women’s ice hockey. I also spent a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA and remain a strong advocate for National Service. I live on the North Shore of MA and spend my free time trail running, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, trying to learn how to do a strict pull up, and cuddling with my Wheaten Terrier, Tugger.
